This seemed like a good place to go to about a problem I've been having. I got a gamecube in the mail, so I try to hook it up to my TV. Now the gamecubeturns on, but I'm not getting anything on the TV itself. No sound or video no matter what input or channel I put it on. I even tried hooking it up to my VCR and it still doesn't work.Honestly, I'm stumped. I plugged my XBOX 360 in and it fired up right away without any problems. Did my gamecube come with a defective cable? Also, does the gamecube refuse to work with certain, newer TVs? Help, please?Problems with gamecube
It might just be the cable.. do you have an n64 or super nintendo? If i remember right the av cables from those work with the gamecube so if you do try them out. If new cables don't work It is probably a defective system.Problems with gamecube
well i know the N64 and Snes cables are identical. I think the GC works with them too so if you have any of those do what pirate said and try them as well.
This may sound stupid buy, is it plugged into the wall outlet? I did this with my 360. Thought I plugged it in but didn't and was getting angry and then decided to ''unplug'' everything and start over and that is when I noticed my mistake.

Okay, I made some progress. Somehow, I managed to get the sound working. So the cables are obviously not defective. However, I''m still not getting any video display.
