I just got a DS, so I wanted to know if the DS and GBA versions of the games are the best ones. I was going to get Tactics Advance, but then I found out it's a lot different than the original. So, just list the best version of each game IYO.List the best versions of the Final Fant ...
I personally if given the choice would always go with the original. It is nice to have the remakes on the handheld to take anywhere with you though. When it comes to tactics vs. tactics advance I cannot emphasise enough how much better tactics is than advance. Don't get me wrong, advance is a solid game, but the original is basically flawless and is my favorite game wih Final Fantasy in its title.List the best versions of the Final Fant ...

Both regular Tactics and the Tactics Advance games are pretty good though, if you're not looking at the Tactics Advance games storywise. I'm kind of confused by what you mean as ''best versions.'' Do you mean like different versions of the same game(like how there's an FFIV for GBA and DS?)? Anyway, I would play the original FFI and FFII on GBA. Many people never play the first 2 FF's and it's a shame.
Final Fantasy V is very fun.You get to choose your jobs, I think.

So which one of these is considered the best?
The GBA games are great. They look and sound pretty much the same as the originals.FFIII DS is good, and I haven't had a chance to play UVDS yet.But honestly, I'd go with the GBA versions. You just can't beat the originals.
Get Chrono Trigger on the DS.
For FFVI, download the japanese version ROM and attach the translation patch...this is the best script of the three, the true original one.

If you like 3-D graphics and voice acting, then the DS version is for you. Personally I would go with the GBA version(whether it's I, II, IV, V, or VI) since I found the voice acting in the DS version atrocious.
