How many agree that this game was hands down the best Mario on SNES and extremely underrated? And when you play, which characters do you like to use? I like Mario Geno Mallow so I can kill multiple enemies with Mallow's thunder, but geno's powerful attacks. When I play a boss, I like to throw princess in mallow's place except with Yardovich, where Mallow's shocker is a killer. Smithy, I do Mario Geno Princess, same with Culex. This game is so underrated and overlooked. Gamespot should have reviewed it for VC the way they did other games.Super Mario RPG-most underrated game?
It's my favorite Mario game. All the Mario RPG games are good. I love the timed attack system they have, as well as the new Mario and Luigi games where you can do tag moves. It's really awesome.I'm pretty sure all the Mario RPG games are underrated, and overlooked :( They're the best RPG games.Super Mario RPG-most underrated game?
It's far away from being the most underrated game.
Best Mario on SNES is Super Mario World
I hope you're joking...I played it at a friend's for 10 minutes, got stuck in the first freaking area after Bowser and stopped. The game was nothing special at all. That's like saying Halo's underrated. =P Only I actually liked Halo the first time I tried it.
How is it underrated? This game is talked about all the time and universally loved.
I don't think it's the best Mario on the SNES, but it is the best Mario RPG.

I don't think it's the best Mario on the SNES, but it is the best Mario RPG.[/QUOTE] Paper Mario > Mario RPG,imo.
Most underrated Mario game is Super Mario Bros. 2, but a lot of people hated it. It's my favorite Mario, so that's probably why I find it be underrated.
Underrated? No way Super Mario RPG had to be one the best Square developed titles and IMO the best Mario title besides Super Mario Galaxy.

That's the whole thing about being underrated.
If anything, it's overrated.

I don't know about underrated, but it's certainly not as well-known as the other games. But it's definitely NOT the best on the SNES.

I'm talking about the American version. Say what you will about it, but I liked it. It was and still is immensely fun. That's all that really matters to me.

There ain't no way in hell this game is even anywhere near underrated. It's known as one of the best RPGs on the SNES and one of the best on any Nintendo console. I love it too, beat it twice!

Not a good reason for not trying this game.

I idn't start midway in, I started...at the start. And I like RPGs a lot, I layed through 4 or 5 final Fantasies.

Why are you trying to judge a game you didn't even play?
