I was thinking of getting an Atari 5200. I already have a 2600 and 7800. I got to try it and it was okay, and I 've heard the controller won't break when it's overhauled/rebuilt. If I get it which one should I get, either the 4 port model that plays all the games for the 5200, or the 2 port model that's compatible with the 2600 adaptor but not all the games. I was thinking of the 4 port model because I don't need the adaptor, and I would like it bigger to show friends.Should I get and Atari 5200
Well if you do commit suicide, just plug in the sega genesis controller, which is weird, but it works.Should I get and Atari 5200
Well if you do commit suicide, just plug in the sega genesis controller, which is weird, but it works.
The Atari 5200 isn't bad, and I decided I'm going to get the 4 port model. Also the gensis controller only works with the 2600 and 7800 because the atari 5200 has a different controller port
I went to 4Jays.com and theve got these rebuilt 5200 controllers that they saythey've never had one returned, so it'll be more durable then a regular one
get it if you can find a working controller or a rebuilt one
No, get a 2600 or 7800, the 5200 was garbage.
In addition to getting a rebuilt one (which work extremely well because I believe the contacts are gold plated) there are also Wico brand controllers, and from what I hear, those things are tanks.
