Good question. I mean, it has no games and Blu-Ray is it's only use. Hmm, this is a real head-scratcher.

yep. you're right. why is it called a game console? i mean, i don't own one blu-ray movie, but i have about 6 PS3 games. certainly puzzling.

Sony themselves don't call it a gaming console, they call it like a media entertainment center or a super computer, something like that. But guess what, it's both a blu ray player and a gaming console. :o

Your right TC. I use my ps3 as a dvd/bluray player. I use my 360 as a heater in the winter and if I had a wii, it would be a paper weight. Lol. Who knew about all these alternate uses??

My current opinion of it is its a MGS4 player that just happens to read Blu-rays.
I find it hard to find good games for the movie player, i can only think MGS 4, other than that only crap i find.
