I'm getting 200 dollars to spend on amazon.com for my birthday. I could get a Gamecube for 30-40 with accessories and get the games I missed last gen (Zelda, Mario Sunshine, Metroid etc) and still have a little left over. Or I could get a PSP with a couple of games. There are a good 15-2- games I want to play on PSP, and watching movies on a portable sounds neat as well as it's other cool features. The only problem is that I just don't know if I'll be playing it enough to warrant a purchase, since I don't really travel much at all, and I've got my PS3.What should I get?GC or a PSP???
psp!!! way worth it, if you get online then get socom fireteam bravo 2! that game will have you coming back online for at least a year or more if you really like it. Plus the psp has a mic headset. GC or a PSP???
I'd go with a PSP, but that's mostly because I'm not a big fan of the Gamecube to begin with. At least with the PSP if you don't like the games you can use it for other stuff: movies, music, and surfing the net. Both systems have few games that interest me, so I'd recommend that you go with whichever system has the most games that interest you.
a psp can barely hold my attention for more then 10 minutes, to me there a terribly boring handheld, gamecubes on the other hand are great, and if you missed out on the last gen zeldas, then you missed out big time.
Go with the Gamecube. It's much cheaper and it's game library is much better.
I would honestly save my money and get a Wii, but that's just me.

Gotta get a gamecube, it has some great exclusive games from last gen
Get a PSP and you dont have to have to travel to play a handheld. Just play it when ever you want. Great games, great features, and online.
Well, the Gamecube does have some seriously overlooked, and underrated games that were some of the best last gen, and you could get a system + a lot of games for $200.But the PSP is still being supported, and it has a handful of good games.Really depends on what your tastes for gaming is.
Save some more money, then get a Wii and play all those GC games on it.
Get a gc, there is plenty of great games to catch up on.
The problem is that all the GC games I want (Twilight Princess, Twin Snakes etc are like 30-40 bucks a pop. The PSP games I all want are ranging from 10- 29 at the most.......
The Gamecube has a very impressive and underrated library of games. How can you go wrong with games like Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, and Tales of Symphonia?
GC hands down. PSP if you're into hacking it.

Those are just two games though. Most GC games can be picked up for under $15.
You should get either Wii or Gamecube. If you want to travel around, then you should PSP.
Well the PSP is great because you can obviously take it with you and also do other stuff on it than just gaming. Plus, there's still new games coming out for it. I'd recommend it, unless the GC has more games that you are interested in... The GC does have a larger library of games to choose from.
Gamecube. Games are dirt cheap and even though it finished 3rd the GCN still had many games that must be played.
Emm... hey're pretty even.
I wouldnt say that there are to many must haves on either system, especially if you already have better systems like the PS2, N64, GBA, PS1 or 360.
flip a coin. Really, I can't decide. They both have a fair share of good games but both are far from the best. Unless the PSP gets a significant amount of good games later this year I'd say the two are pretty even systems.
