Best Story in a Game Ever?

So recently im getting a bit bored with constantly playing online , and feel like settling down for a while and enjoy a game (or series) with a story that blows you away.

So i just wanted to know what you lot think about this , what game do you think has the best story ever ?

for me it's zelda oot and mgs4
the mgs series is great for gameplay and story.
Xenogears! The story in that game blew me away, and pretty much ruined the stories in all other games for me.
Final Fantasty VIII had a very good story in my opinion.
Metal Gear series.

So here is my definitive list in alphabetical order:Final Fantasy VIII (PS1)Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL (PSP)*Resident Evil 1 (GC)**Resident Evil 2 (PS1)Silent Hill (PS1)Silent Hill 2 (PS2)Siren (PS2)Siren 2 (PS2)Xenogears (PS1)* Superior translation** Reworked into a much more high quality, engaging plotI can't think of anymore right now, but I may later. Xenosaga (series) almost made the list, but I felt the final plot developments were undeserving.

Loved the story %26 gameplay in the MGS series.
The Unreal Championship 2 story was not that bad.
