Final Fight VS Streets of Rage

So back in the days of the SNES and Genesis/Megadrive, there where two great side scrolling beat em' ups. But which one was better? You decide! Im going with Streets of Rage.Final Fight VS Streets of Rage

Final Fight always and forever. Nothing beats an ass kicking wrestling mayor... nothing.Look at the cast, you have random people in SoR, in Final Fight you have ass kicking wrestling mayor (yes it's fun to say, try it), ninja in training, and soon to be convict. Awesome!And the death screens... that alone makes it worth it. No lame game over screen, continue and blow out the dynamite or die! Final Fight for me all the way.

Final Fight for sure. That is one of my favorite games.
It absolutely has to be Streets of Rage, SOR2 was my fave of them all and i still play it 2day on my battered lookin megadrive.
id have to say Final Fight. I wasted so many quarters on that game in the arcade. Its just sad that u can only get it for SNES, Sega CD, and GBA. For some reason u cant get a genesis version. but SoR2 is a decent game to play if you dont have a SNES or GBA. SoR1 is not that great of a game though. I have it on the 6-pack collection and its an ok game, but nothing compared to Streets of Rage 2 or Final Fight.
Final Fight was designed with the arcades in mind, it plays like an arcade game complete with arcade difficulty scaling which is a very cheap way of extending gameplay. I'd go with SOR2.
Double Dragon. But between these two, I like Streets of Rage better.

Both games are great beat-um-ups but I'm gonna have to go with Streets Of Rage since it's one of my most played games on the Mega Drive. The sequal was even bettter and really fun to play.
SoR over Final Fight as a series due to SoR2. Close call though. Both were excellent games.
I prefer Final Fight.
i was thinking final fight. i spent too much time playing it in the arcade, so i loved it when i didnt have to pump in quarters
The SNES version of Final Fight was missing a 2 player mode. It also had a lot of things missing that was in the arcade. For a start Guy was not selectable and all the women were replaced by men. Nintendo must of thought beating up on a girl would corrupt the worlds youth. I call it self-defence.
I bought the Capcom Classics Collection for my PSP, and when I booted up Final Fight and played through it I realised that it was just a terrible, terrible game and that Streets of Rage 2 is my second favourite beat 'em up behind Double Dragon.
I defgoing with streets of rage! i love the series!! i wish there was a download version of SOR for playstation network, i need it back in my life so bad!
Streets of Rage, though Final Fight 3 was pretty good.
I can't say that I like one over the other.Both have strengths and weaknesses of their own. I see them as equals. :)
