Right now there's no need for another Game Boy. The DS became much more successful than Nintendo likely expected it to be, and they don't really need to make another system in the Game Boy line at this time. Besides, the DS can still pull off GB-style games like Castlevania and Contra while still having unique DS-style games like Trauma Center and such. It's all just under one umbrella right now, and there's no point in making anything for the Game Boy Advance. :? People have moved on in that regard.

I think its legacy and impact will stay with the DS.

People have moved on in that regard.[/QUOTE]Pretty much - I know at one time, they wanted to do a Gameboy and the DS handheld lines seperate.... but even then, people would know, why would you need two Nintendo handhelds? The DS is very successful, and possibly having a Gameboy line, prolly wouldn't do any favors to the DS line or GB line handhelds. It would be like having a wii console, and another nintendo console running side by side at the same time. Just no real need. Really, the DS line (and I know Nintendo has gone on to say it's not but) is the latest version in the Gameboy Handheld history. Least to me. I'll miss the GBA backwards capability in the latest handheld version, but I also realise, it's time to move on at this point fully on DS.Interesting random note, The original gameboy line fo games can actually be played on 8 diffferent consoles. :P
