FC Twin System: Worth It or Not?

I recently discovered the FC Twin, which plays both NES and SNES games. My cousin's wife bought him one for Christmas, and he says it's great. He's a pretty hardcore, solely retro gamer(he even bought Fester's Quest, if you can believe that).Anyway, I found one that I could buy for $30, but I haven't heard if there are any negatives to the system. If anyone here owns one, I'd like your opinions on it.Here is a picture of one:Thanks in advance for any impressions.FC Twin System: Worth It or Not?
Id say it's worth it, i own the FC twin system that plays NES,SNES, and Genesis games, and it works pretty well. Its a little easier to deal with than the original systems since some wont always work properly, the only downside is that the music may sound different for a number of games and certain games wont work on it but its not a big problem.FC Twin System: Worth It or Not?
I'd like to know as well because I want an NES. I don't want to deal with the 72-pin problems of the front loaders and I don't want to pay $100 for a toploader without A/V inputs.
If you want a good NES remodel, get a Generation NEX from Messiah. I own and swear by this product. Never had any problem with it, looks cool and you can hook up an original NES Controller unlike an FC Twin. Also, it plays Japanese Famicom games too.
i have 2 front loaders and they were given to me for free and didnt work well so i opened it up and scrubbed the connectors the most ive ever done and now they work like new
I hear the FC twin has some compatibility issues, but the Retro Duo does not (I'd look into the similarly priced Retro Duo)
I own one, and love it. There pretty great, though the cartridges can be a little hard to get out, but this means it makes good contact with the pins.

It costs $59.99: http://playmessiah.com/products/classics/generation-nex-videogame-console.htm
You lose color quality and sound quality. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYv8USm7dbU
I own the FC Twin, and it is def. worth it!!! For $30? That's asteal. By the way, it does change the coloring on some games a bit, but, since it brightens them, in some cases I prefer a little higher contrast anyways! I have not noticed to much of a differance in sound quality. I have never had a problem with compatability, and I own roughly 500 to 600 games if you add my NES and SNES collections together! I did although have a problem trying to save a game... I can't remember exactly what game it was, but I looked into it and somewhere I read that you can't save certain games.... Maybe that is what someone meant by compatability problems? Overall though, one minor flaw and 100's of games played with absolutley no problems... I would say go for it!
you cant play the mario rpg game for the snes on it.....crap i forgot the title

Nah, it should be any SNES game with this SA-1 lockout chip. But there's also a small list of NES games that don't work as well.

All I know is I watched a guy test out a bunch of different accessories, and all the games that have compatibility issues on the Retro Duo, and they all worked. I ordered one, and that's why I'll recommend it again I guess.

Here, I looked up a list of the games with compatibility issues.

NES: * ''After Burner'' * ''Battletoads'' (the game hangs at the second level, however, if warps are used, this is passable and the rest of the game works perfect) * Captain Planet and the Planeteers * Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (works on FC Dual and Retro Duo System) * Cheetahmen II * Challenge of the Dragon * Crystal Mines * Dragon Warrior II * Gemfire * Laser Invasion * L'Empereur * Paperboy * Pipe Dream * Mad Max * The Krion Conquest * Uncharted Waters

SNES

# BatterUP

# E.V.O.: Search for Eden - Cannot save or delete save files. (Disputed.)

# Street Fighter Alpha 2 - The S-DD1 chip does not function. (Disputed.) (Compatible with Retro Duo system)

# Star Ocean - Another S-DD1 dependent title.

# Kirby Super Star - Due to Nintendo SA-1 Coprocessor built (disputed) into the Cartridge (Compatible with Retro Duo system)

# Super Scope 6 - Gun will work but you can not use controller it wont let two player mode work on Terminator: Arcade, Metal Combat, etc.

# Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts - Everything works up until the 3rd level boss which is incorrectly invisible.

# Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Here's to hoping that the post doesn't get formatted.
