Time for a Sega Saturn Collection?

Now that we have a pretty definitive Sega Genesis collection on the 360 %26 PS3, I think Sega should slap together a Sega Saturn collection. It could only have Sega published games of course, so here's a working list... Keep in mind I have no idea how many Saturn games would fit on one DVD, but here's what I've come up with:Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon II, Panzer Dragoon Saga (though that would probably take up a good chunk of disc on it's own), Virtua Fighter, Virtua Fighter 2, Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Bug!, Clockwork Knight, Clockwork Knight II, Shining Force III, Shining the Holy Ark...Those are the ones off the top of my head, and I'm not 100% sure they were all published by Sega, but if anyone wants to help shape the list, let's do it!Also, the Virtua Cop games would be cool too, but I don't see them making a gun for a collection release.Time for a Sega Saturn Collection?
I'd like to see:OutRun, After Burner, Power Drift, Radiant Silvergun, and Galaxy Force 2 (released in Japan).Time for a Sega Saturn Collection?
The Saturn was such a mess hardware-wise that I doubt even Sega themselves would want to attempt to emulate it.
Do want. It would probably work on PS3 with Blu-ray. I don't know about 360 though.
Nights, Virtual On, Virtua Cop 1 and 2.
Yeah, I realized I'd forgotten Nights... I know it's not likely to happen, but hey, a guy can dream can't he?

genesis and sms is all theyll do because saturn and up either have had ports or, just aint good enough to warrant sega to port them , go get xbox ps2 and a gc , pretty much has the whole dc line up
I wouldn't say no. I'd like to try out some saturn games.
Only with pop up graphics intact....ha ha... a la Sega Rally Championship
I'm still holding for a Sega Master System collection. Phantasy Star, Out Run, Space Harrier, Alex Kidd, Wonderboy, Golden Axe, Psycho Fox, Altered Beast.Ok maybe not Altered Beast...
Show me some World Series Baseball. Toss in Fighter's MegaMix while you're at it. I love fighting with the Daytona car and the AM2 tree.

The hard part is emulating the Saturn.
I would like that very much, the Saturn had really great games but considering how much of a nightmare/screw up was the design of the hardware, it is very difficult to properly emulate it, if it weren't we would have seen a Saturn's Collection already. At best the only Saturn games I've seen outside the Saturn have been the PC ports like Panzer Dragoon, Virtua Cop, etc.

its already been done by 3rd partys for the pc
I'm all for it. Saturn has a lot of gems people don't know about. What alot of people don't relise is the Saturn had just as much power as the PS did. It's just it did not get the same game intrest as the PS did.

The Saturn was more powerful than the PS1 when it came to 2D graphics (it was built originally as a 2D powerhouse with modest 3D thrown in, but after the details of the PS1 were shown Sega had to hastily add a second processor to boost its 3D capabilities and still it could not match the PS1 in 3D)

That is why the Saturn had perfect arcade conversions of Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Vs X-Men, Night Warriors and the Dungeon and Dragons Collection from Capcom (Capcom really loved the Saturn) There were even games such as Silhouette Mirage that were better on Saturn because it had the hardware to push more layers of parallax scrolling. PS1 could handle 3D better, and could do even basic stuff that the Saturn couldn't like transparent polygons. Just looking at the original Tomb Raider and WipeOut on PS1 and you could clearly see how much better these versions were to the Saturn ones. Also the Saturn had a very weird method of polygon rendering, while most 3D systems rendered polygons out of triangular shapes, the Saturn could only do square ones, which was rare, only the Zeus arcade hardware ( that was used only once to run Mortal Kombat 4 and never used again ) also used that rendering technique. So all in all the PS1 and Saturn had its strengths and weaknesses. But it was the troublesome hardware design of the Saturn that turned most developers away.
My brother and I used to have a Saturn years ago. Though the system mostly sucked, there are a few gems that I'd love to get on a collector's disc. Fighting Vipers, Virtua Cop 1%262 and Nights are a few that come to mind. Sega surely needs to do something besides keep releasing the Genesis games over and over. I suspect that most interested people have owned them in one form or another by now.
There are some games that I would love to play. A collection would be great if they did one.
