I work in Gamestation, a games retailer in UK, and our store in particular do not sell Retro anymore. I think a few still do, maybe. Anyways, we have a few old consoles that will get sent to head office, unless we want to buy them. I've been thinking about either picking up a N64 -which I never owned as a child- or a Mega Drive, which was one of my first consoles. The N64 will set me back ?.99 or about ? for the Mega Drive. I was leaning towards the N64, as like I said, I've never had one so thought it might be interesting to play some classics. However, we don't have any games for it, so I'd have to get some online. It's also boxed whereas the Mega Drive isn't. But we do have some games in for that, so I could pick some up right away.
Just not sure which one to go for...? I'd rather have the N64 but I'm also not sure where to pick up Retro games from online. Any one have any ideas? A local indie games shop had some, but there were rubbish selection. I've had a look on eBay but would rather buy from aproper Retro specialist.Any help would be nice, thanks.N64 OR Sega Mega Drive, Which Should I g ...

Where would you suggest picking up the games for N64?
get both, trust me it's worth it.
you should get both of them at that price.. they are my 2 most played consoles i own... well it would be n64 and snes... but my snes died :(
where to get games.. thats a hard one, mostly cos i have a couple of places in my town which sell retro stuff. to be honest ebay is your best bet.. i know you said you would rather get them from a specialist but you can get some good deals on ebay.
N64 FTW!
Games:
Loz: OoT, Loz: MM, SM64, Starfox 64, MK64
Genesis/ Mega Drive
If I could only have one I would get the Genesis.
Get the N64 please.
For that price, go with both. If you're insistant upon getting just one, go with the 64, For games, try looking around pawn shops and the such. A lot of the 64 games will actually be somewhat expensive on ebay.
If I had to choose I would choose N64, but at those prices if you have the money I would grab both.
I would get the Mega Drive/Genesis, but I also think it's worth getting both consoles for those prices. As for the games... ebay is like the only online place I can think of for retro games.
amazon.com, at my local gamer store (classic gaming and beyond), I find that they can have the same prices of amazon, except Starfox for the snes was 25, and I got it at amazon for like half the price I think, probably way less, but then you got shipping.
That's really hard I had and loved both as a kid. Those are excellent prices so get both!
n64
N64 is way better, in my opinion.
N64
I'd definitely go with Mega Drive. I still think it's historically my favorite console ever.
I don't know anywhere that sells N64 or Megadrive games, but if you really wanted to play lots of N64 games then there is always the Wii with it's virtual console so you can download pretty much any game you want from what I hear. The Wii also has Sega virtual console games I hear, but I don't know what ones. It's a shame you don't have a Playstation 1 because www.gameseek.co.uk sell box loads of the games, but alot of them aren't cheap. If you really wanted to play some Megadrive games then you could get the new one coming out which has 15-built in games and you might be able to use the games you sell for it as long as they are ''original'' Megadrive or Genesis games, (whatever original means) http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/8922102/Sega-Mega-Drive-Console-With-15-Games/Product.html OR you could pick up a Sega handheld which has 20 built-in games http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/7871839/Sega-Megadrive-Handheld-Console/Product.html But the problem with the handheld is that I heard you have to use battries with it. But you can even hook the handheld up to your TV I think.
Genesis=Great Console Of All Time. Anyway, it depends on how much you want Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.
