Which double Dragon game

Or at least I think it was Double Dragon, for SNES. I remember playing this one arcade game with my dad at the nickle arecade. It was in the free section so we played it until we beat it.In the game you were two guys and it was a side scrolling shoot 'em up / beat 'em up. Then at the very end you save a girl and you have to fight eachother to the death. I remember I won and my dad was pissed lol.Which double Dragon game
that was the original double dragon for the arcade.Which double Dragon game
Yeah it is the original, but that is a pretty good description of all of them. It was a simpler time, when all you needed for a plot was 1. bad guy steals your girl 2. you beat up bad guys and get girl back.
If you want to play the definitive version of double dragon then go for the master system one.

No, my mistake, it was an abomination...

My fav Double Dragon is Super on the SNES. Love that game play it every now and again too
The original arcade standup is the true way to go....Go Abobo!!!
The greatest, and probably most challenging is Double Dragon III for the NES! I don't care what ANYBODY says, that game is much better than any of the others. 2nd place goes to the SNES with Super Double Dragon.
I suppose everybody is entitled to their own opinion but I personally fall Double Dragon III is the worst in the series. If you get an enemy on both sides of you its all over and the spin kick you can do is not too reliable it seems it only works when its convenient. I personally like the SNES version along with I and II.
Well, that is why I liked III a lot more than I or II, because it was a lot tougher to beat (ex. more enemies on the screen at once)! I like a good challenge and I found I and II much to easy. Now, don't get me wrong, both the first 2 aren't bad games, just not as challenging. Also, 3 has better play mechanics, graphics, level design, music, you name it! I own all four games, so I am not biased toward any games in the series. Double Dragon III is one of those games that much fewer people have played because they either lost interest in the series, or just moved on.
on the nes i enjoyed double dragon 2 probably the best
