Take the revival pill. It's been years since I beat the game so I don't remember which but you need to bring up one of the menus. Just search for the revival pill in either the L2 or R2 menus.MGS3 Glitch

It's in the L2 menu, the R2 menu carries weapons.

Hehe, yeah, I did that. I just couldn't work out how to die.
I've found another glitch though. As soon as I finish The Sorrow, the screen goes black and stays black. Is there any way to skip this portion of the game? There's probably a problem with my disc, and I don't want to have to buy another copy.
Is this Snake Eater or Subsistence? Also, did you read the FAQs for these games?
You playing this on a PS3? Suggest buying a PS2, if that's the case.... And I don't think the cutscenes are skipable. So there are probably no work arounds for that blackscreen problem.
Well, I just bought a new copy of the game. It works fine, plus it's Subsistence rather than Snake Eater so it's slighlty better anyway. I had to restart (what with Subsistence not being compatable with Snake Eater saves) but it was worth it. Amazing game, BTW. Truly emotional ending.
It was the disk then?Yeah, Subsistence is a bit better than the orginal. Not having the skipping ambiant background sounds during the radio conversations, alone, make it worth getting Subsistence over the orginal. Not to mention the optional camera mode.... Although, one problem with activating the optional camera, is that you no longer can lock the overhead viewpoint with the R3 button...
