gameboy advance dark screen

just picked up a gameboy advance and it's perfect for my 4yr old as we already have some games from his brothers ds, only problem is it seems to have a dark screen, don't know if this is a problem or if it can be adjusted at all, cheers all.gameboy advance dark screen
The original Gameboy Advance didn't have a backlight, so yes, it was extremely dark. They used to sell lights that plug into the top of system, which helped you see. You may want to check if you can find one on eBay.gameboy advance dark screen

take off the screen protector then more light will get to the leds or buy a gbasp or gbmicro or buy a DS with gba slot
use a 3rd party gbc worm light and use itit works great on the gba
cheers for all the advice sounds like i need a plug in light thingy which is ok as i was expecting a fault on the console.
Get a sp, trust me, you dont need to attach anything, you dont need batteries. I used to have a prejudice for the GBA, but after playing the sp version, my respect for the system has grown. Except for the fact that the only real enjoyable games are nintendo games....
